Whiskey & Salt Supper Club came into being when Emily and Kathryn got a little bit tipsy at an underground supper club one night. Kathryn spilled a sous-vide egg all over her shirt, then tossed half a glass of wine onto Emily… and thus began a culinary collaboration for the ages. A supper club for everyone (except vegetarians… just kidding… sort of) was born that night, in the back of a cab on the Brooklyn Bridge, with cinematic fireworks exploding in the background!
We cook with a focus on local, seasonal food – sometimes a little experimental, always delicious. At Whiskey & Salt Supper Club, you’ll always get a tasty meal, a whiskey cocktail (or two!) and a whole lot of awesomeness.
Emily Hanhan played sous chef in her kitchen growing up, but didn’t realize her need to feed people until moving away to NYC. When not at her apparel design day job, she’s busy kicking ass at local culinary competitions. (And winning!) Emily is an awesome canner, pickler and jam-master and she also makes marshmallows! Breaking bread and clinking glasses are two of her loves and Emily is stoked to bring more people around the table to share in the joy.

Kathryn Liverani has been cooking for as long as she’s been able to reach the stove. A lawyer by day, her first informal supper club experience came when a colleague, upon hearing Kathryn’s reputation for culinary excellence, challenged her to a cook-off. One week and dinner for fourteen later, Kathryn emerged victorious! Now, she can’t wait to bring her love of farmer’s markets and seasonal cooking to the dining room table at Whiskey & Salt.
